Tom Bloom, CEO/Owner

In 1979, Tom Bloom founded Bloom Roofing Systems with three employees and a mission to provide quality and workmanship in commercial roofing services and products. Tom’s dedication to performing work thoroughly and correctly, regardless of the level of difficulty, has resulted in a loyal client base with multinational corporations and high-quality roofing manufacturers. Under Tom’s direction Bloom Roofing Systems has won the Single Ply Roofing Institute’s Contractor of the Year award, the Carlisle Excellence in Single Ply Contractor award and is a member of the Firestone President’s Club, an honor extended to the top 30 contractors in the world.


Kyle Menard, President

Kyle Menard has served as President of Bloom Roofing Systems since May 1995 and has been in the roofing industry for over 18 years.  Prior to his tenure at Bloom Roofing Systems, Kyle served as a loan officer for First of America for 5 years.  Kyle manages and provides direction for corporate-wide operations and works to build relationships with each client.

Chris Blom, Superintendent

Chris Blom has served as Superintendent of Bloom Roofing Systems for over 18 years and has 28 years of roofing experience.  Chris has worked with every conceivable roofing application, and manages the roofers on all BRSI projects. Chris ensures the safety of the job site, manages time sheets and deliveries, establishes maximum quality on each project, manages clean up and oversees project management.


Pat Opalek, Vice President /  Sales

Pat Opalek has served as Vice President of Bloom Roofing Systems since August 1993 and has been a seasoned professional in the roofing industry for over 25 years. Pat develops Bloom Roofing’s customer base, acts a liaison between clients and the production department, tracks job history and results, assess customer’s needs and proposes solutions, and builds relationships with each client.


Kris Orton, Operations Manager

Kris Orton serves as Operations Manager of Bloom Roofing Systems has over 10 years of commercial construction industry experience.  Kris plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the operations and is responsible for the performance of all departmental functions.  Kris also works with the management team, by contributing to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.

 


Jay Elmore, Project Manager

Jay Elmore serves as Project Manager of Bloom Roofing Systems and has over 30 years of commercial construction industry experience.  Jay has extensive experience overseeing site project personnel, scheduling, and safety management ensuring quality control and productivity on all projects.  Jay coordinates all new roof installations and roof replacement projects, manages project equipment, coordinates manpower and materials, develops site safety and logistics plans and works on project planning tasks.


Kathy Mitchell, Service Coordinator

Kathy has served as the Service Coordinator of Bloom Roofing Systems for the past 3 years. She has 20 years of experience in the construction industry with a background in project management and a strong focus on customer service in both residential and commercial construction settings. Customer satisfaction is her goal and Kathy works directly with all of BRSI service clientele to ensure timely repair response, detailed reports of findings and accurate billings are provided.


Marvin Iott, Service Manager

Marvin started with Bloom Roofing at the original location in Saline, MI as a laborer. After two years he became a foreman and held that position for 10 years, until a leg injury put him on the sidelines. Bored at home, unable to work, he decided to take some classes in drafting and CAD. Upon returning to work Marvin took a position as a CAD technician. He became the service manager about a year later when he couldn’t handle being stuck in his office staring at a computer screen all day. 15 years later his friendly personality has allowed him excel when working with customers and field techs alike, making him a valuable asset to have in the service department.
